What about me?

Tanner has been feeling left out since the last few posts just had pictures of Hayes. So he asked me to take some pictures of him yesterday and today we did a photo shoot in his new room. It isn't finished yet so I will post pics of the nursery when it is completely done. I think he likes it so far!

Hayes Craves Chocolate

I took the boys to Crave today to pick up a friend some chocolates. The nice cashier gave Hayes a small piece of chocolate. When I say small I mean about 2 or 3 bites worth. When we got to the car, half of it was gone. I know this because I asked him for a bite and he would not give me one. Can't blame him for that! I put the boys in their car seats and started for home. I talked on the phone for a few minutes and then turned around to see what Hayes was doing. This is what I saw.....

Needless to say he went straight to the tub! I guess he is going to love sweets just like his mommy!

Ahhhh....Vacation!

Thanks to some wonderful old friends, Joey and I were able to take Hayes to the beach last week. MiGi volunteered to keep Tanner so we wouldn't have to worry about going in for naps every 2 hours! We thought Hayes would enjoy the beach since he loves the water but you never quite know what to expect with him. He loved it more than we could have imagined! He played in the sand, swam in the ocean, chased seagulls and watched the sailboats. We had a fabulous time and no one really got sunburned. That is quite an accomplishment with these two WHITE Italian boys of mine! This post is full of pictures but I couldn't help myself. I took hundreds so it was too hard to narrow it down to just a couple. Hopefully next year Tanner can join in on the fun!

Hayes' first time in the ocean. Will he be scared?

Not a chance!

Hayes + sand, no explanation needed!

Just being cute...

Hayes and I eating our salads. I don't think he wanted to stop eating to take the picture!

Like father, like son

Hayes isn't quite sure about his fish dinner. He finally decided he liked it!

Bye beach! We had fun but it is time to go home!

Life Made Easier

My life just got so much easier! It might not seem like much to some people but it is a big deal for us. Since Tanner was born I have only been able to go to the grocery store on weekends when Joey could watch the kids or he would have to stop on his way home from work. There is only so much you can get when you have a car seat in the main buggy area and another kid in the other part of the buggy. Joey has been in Chicago for several days and we needed to go to the grocery store so we attempted something new. Look how cute they are!

I also tried to bathe both boys together and they loved it! I know they will kill me for posting these one day but I couldn't resist! I need a little censored bar!

A Week in Pictures

We haven't done anything exciting this week but I have managed to get a few cute pictures. Here are a few from the week.

Tanner's first ride in the wagon. I think he likes it! Not sure how much Hayes likes him in there with him....

Hayes really wants Tanner to drink from his sippy cup.....not happening!

Aww...brotherly love!

Tanner in his new exersaucer that we got from our neighbors Nancy and Kenlee. Hayes figured out real quick that he could push Tanner in a circle. Poor Tanner is going to be dizzy!

A Visit from MiGi

My mom (MiGi) came to visit this week and stayed through the weekend. Joey was gone all weekend to a bachelor party/golf weekend so we had the boys to ourselves. It had been awhile since Hayes and Tanner had seen MiGi so they were very excited to have her here. She brought gifts from B (Uncle Brad). He sent Hayes an Auburn football uniform complete with shoulder pads and helmet. He has had so much fun dressing up and running around the house hollering. I definitely think he is ready for football!

War Eagle!!!
Tanner also received a jersey and football pants but his pants are too small so we will have to look for him another pair. MiGi and Hayes hit golf balls outside much of the afternoons, we went swimming, played at the park, went out to eat, went to a few stores to play with trains and went to McWane Center. Anne (Joey's mom) joined us for McWane Center. The boys loved having both grandmothers in the same place at the same time! Hayes had a ball running around with MiGi and Anne and seeing all the different exhibits at the museum.

You need a hardhat to drive the car!

Operating the crane

Playing on the light wall with Anne

Playing golf--my favorite!

Riding in the submarine with MiGi

Changing a tire

Grocery shopping is dangerous work!

Tanner had fun too!

We all had a great week and it was good for everyone to have MiGi here. Hayes especially hated to see her go. She has a lot more energy than mommy! Hopefully it won't be so long in between visits next time!

6 Months

Tanner is 6 months old! He had his 6 month check-up this week and is 16 lbs 9 oz (40%) and 27 1/4 inches long (75%). I can't believe how fast time has flown. We still see him as such a small baby so we are amazed at all he is doing now. He can sit up on his own, he just started eating fruits and vegetables and he loves bouncing in his jumperoo. He also loves to do anything that big brother Hayes is doing. Hayes is such a good big brother and lets him play with all his toys.
