Slow Ride (or Walk)

2 Years and 9 Months

Ok, actually Hayes turned 2 almost a month ago and Tanner is really almost 10 months but we switched pediatricians so they just had check-ups today. Hayes weighs 32 lbs 7 oz (91%) and is 36 1/2 inches long (92%). Little Tanner is 19 lbs 6 oz (29%) and is 28 1/2 inches long (50%). They are both doing great! We had Hayes' 2 year and Tanner's 9 month pictures made at Botanical Gardens a few weeks ago. It was quite a chore to get Hayes to pose and smile. We bribed him with goldfish, sang and danced. I know the other people there thought we were crazy but it was worth it. We had several that turned out well. Here are some of my favorites.

Footloose and Fancy Free

Tanner got his cast off!!! We went to the doctor Monday and they cut his cast off and did some x-rays. The doctor said his ankle was healing well but the fracture did go into the growth plate so we have to go back in 4 months for more x-rays to make sure everything is still healing properly. I thought Tanner would be so happy to get rid of the cast but I don't think he has even realized it yet. I guess he is used to crawling and standing with it that he doesn't understand he has use of his leg again. He is still crawling with that leg off the ground and isn't really putting weight on his foot. Hopefully he will figure it out soon! He has started trying to climb things this week. This is making me a nervous wreck! The little daredevil can't even walk yet and is already climbing on tables. Hopefully we can make it through this without breaking anything else. Tanner is really enjoying his riding toys right now which is a good thing because Hayes is in a pushing phase. He wants to push Tanner in everything. Even the grocery cart at Publix yesterday!
